Electronic Healthcare Record Support Action

Introduction

EHCR-SupA is an EU Framework IV project, headed by CHIME, comprising 5 partners and 10 associate partners from 11 European countries whose main purpose is to:

disseminate and promote the work of the EHCR standardisation work of CEN to users and developers in the countries of the EU by:
- promoting awareness of the emerging standards
- providing background materials to aid understanding of the standards
- encouraging industry and others to adopt and implement the standards
- providing implementation guidence to developers
provide background and educational materials to user groups to encourage good practice in the use of electronic healthcare records.
collect feedback of experience of the use of structured EHCRs in the field and to propose improvements to the Architectures developed by CEN.
